Sumbawa Barat, Bekasinews.com. - PT Newmont Nusa Tenggara (PTNNT) menjadi Tempat Uji Kompetensi (TUK) sertifikasi bagi tenaga ahli pertambangan seluruh Indonesia. Uji sertifikasi kompetensi ini diselenggarakan oleh Lembaga Sertifikasi Profesi (LSP) PERHAPI bekerjasama dengan Badan Nasional Sertifikasi Profesi (BNSP) dan dilaksanakan selama tiga hari (13-15/11) di Townsite, Batu Hijau.

“Ditunjuknya PTNNT sebagai TUK sertifikasi bagi tenaga ahli pertambangan seluruh Indonesia ini tentu menjadi suatu kehormatan yang besar, mengingat arti pentingnya kegiatan ini bagi perkembangan dunia pertambangan Indonesia,”  kata Sunarto Suwito, Ketua Panitia Lokal Sertifikasi Kompetensi Profesi.

Dikatakan lebih lanjut bahwa sertifikasi ini sangat  penting untuk menjamin kualitas tenaga kerja di bidang pertambangan yang memiliki profesionalitas, integritas maupun etika agar sesuai kaidah penambangan yang baik (good mining practices). “Dengan sertifikat ini maka seorang ahli pertambangan akan mendapatkan pengakuan atas keahlian yang dimilikinya dan mempunyai daya saing yang tinggi di dunia kerja pertambangan,” kata Sunarto.

Uji kompetensi profesi di dunia pertambangan sangat dibutuhkan untuk memberikan pengakuan secara resmi akan kompetensi yang dimiliki oleh seorang pekerja tambang.  Kegiatan ini selaras dengan misi PERHAPI dalam hal pengembangan kompetensi dan peningkatan integritas bagi seluruh anggota dan para ahli yang berkecimpung di dunia pertambangan.

Kegiatan uji sertifikasi kali ini diikuti 52 peserta yang berasal dari berbagai tambang di Indonesia diantaranya PT ARUTMIN, KPC, PT ADARO, PT SIS, PT INCO dan PTNNT. Sedangkan asesor (tim penilai) terdiri dari profesional senior tambang di seluruh Indonesia, konsultan termasuk pejabat dari Departemen Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral dan Perguruan Tinggi

Uji kompetensi yang diselenggarakan di PTNNT ini merupakan yang kelima kalinya dilakukan oleh LSP PERHAPI. Selain PTNNT, TUK lainnya adalah PT Bukit Asam, untuk pemusatan uji kompetensi wilayah Barat Indonesia, Pusdiklat Tekmira Bandung untuk wilayah Indonesia tengah dan PT KPC untuk wilayah bagian timur Indonesia.

”Kami berharap dengan dipilihnya PTNNT sebagai TUK akan memberikan dampak positif  bagi Indonesia dan NTB khususnya, dimana para pekerja tambang yang ada di daerah ini dapat berperan lebih aktif  dan memiliki lebih banyak peluang untuk mendapatkan pengakuan dan perlindungan di dunia kerja,” kata Sunarto.***
