Beijing,  Bekasinews.com. - Kepala Pelaksana Microsoft Steve Ballmer, Rabu, mengumumkan bahwa satu versi percobaan sistem pengoperasian perangkat lunak titan AS, Windows 7, akan tersedia di seluruh dunia pada Jumat.

"Kami berada di jalur untuk menyajikan versi terbaik Windows yang pernah ada," kata Ballmer dalam pidato utama pembukaan dalam acara Consumer Electronics Show di Las Vegas seperti dilaporkan Xinhua.

"Kami akan memasang semua unsur yang benar: ringkas, kondisi yang dapat dipercaya dan kecepatan," katanya.

Pengembang dan perusahaan mitra Microsoft dapat mulai segera mengujicoba Windows 7, kata Ballmer.

Ballmer mengatakan perangkat lunak Windows di jantung kekaisaran Microsoft akan "dialihkan" menjadi program yang menghubungkan jaringan komputer, telefon genggam dan aplikasi sumber layanan online.

Fitur "Play-to" dalam Windows 7 memungkinkan aliran lancar musik, video dan foto digital di dalam jaringan komputer, kata Microsoft.

Program Media Player dan Media Center di dalam Windos 7 mendukung lebih banyak format media untuk menyetel video, musik dan isi digital lain dan akan menyelaraskan susunan perangkat yang lebih luas, kata Microsoft.

Perangkat lunak Windows 7 dirancang untuk menangani pengendalian layar sentuh yang digemari sebagai pengganti bagi tetikus (mouse) komputer tersebut. Ballmer juga memanfaatkan ajang pidato utama itu untuk mengungkapkan bahwa Microsoft telah mencapai kemitraan baru dengan perusahaan telekomunikasi AS Verizon dan layanan jaringan sosial online yang sedang digandrungi Facebook.

Anggota Facebook dapat mengaitkan profil mereka ke catatan Windows Live dan secara otomatis berbagi foto, video dan isi lain yang mereka kirim ke Facebook.

"Anda sekarang dapat menghubungkan Facebook dengan Windows Live," kata Ballmer. "Isi Facebook dapat disiarkan ke Windows Live."

Microsoft tahun lalu membayar 240 juta dolar AS untuk memperoleh 1,6 persen bagian dalam Facebook. Verizon memanfaatkan Microsoft Live Search untuk menangani pencarian Internet bagi pengguna layanan telefon genggamnya di Amerika Serikat.

Ballmer mengatakan satu rangkaian perangkat lunak gratis Windows Live Essentials untuk surat elektronik, pesan seketika, dan berbagi foto tersedia dan bahkan akan dipasang lebih dulu di komputer pribadi yang dibuat oleh Dell.
